Middle GA CPCU Chapter

March Luncheon Minutes 3/16/2017

Old Business:

• Board meeting took place on March 7^th.Minutes were provided via email to the Chapter and are posted on the Chapter website. Motion was made and seconded to approve.

• Chapter and National Dues were due by January 31^st.We have less than 5 members with dues that are still outstanding.Please make arrangements to pay ASAP.

New Business:

• The Board accepted the resignation of Chapter Secretary, Erin Tolbert.A ballot was sent to the Chapter to determine who would replace her. There was one other person nominated for the position and Vicki will speak with her after the meeting to find out if that person will accept the position.

• Lisa Watson and Chris Orrison, from GEICO, have agreed to co-chair a Membership Committee to focus on recruitment and retention.Need a volunteer or two from the GFB side to work with Chris and Lisa in their efforts.Vicki Shepard and Candi Faulk volunteered.

• GEICO 5K on 5/13/17.Chapter has been approved to have a tent. Will need volunteers to man, hand out info & goodies, answer questions. Chapter t-shirts are in the works.We have received one quote and are waiting for another.Hope to have t-shirts available for the GEICO 5K. Rough estimates are $10 if we do a design with one color or $15 is we choose a design with the 5 colors in the CPCU logo.

• Mercer Baseball Game dates are Friday/Saturday March 24^th @ 6pm/25th @ 2pm, Tuesday March 28th @6pm, or Friday/Saturday April 7th @ 6pm/8th @ 2pm. Vicki will send out a survey for the best time to go.

• Fiduciary Committee will meet in the coming months to establish a Chapter Fiduciary Policy.This will consist of Erika Shelton, Mike Lawrence, and Katie Snow.

• Max gave an update on Ronald McDonald House dinner.We will be going on May 11^th. Items needed are green beans, mashed potatoes, and bread. Max will cook the meat. The Chapter will reimburse everyone for what they spend so save your receipts! Dinner will be for 35-40 people. We can cook it at home and bring it in or cook it there. A list of times and further info will go out in upcoming correspondence.

• We played the “The Many Faces of Ethics” in honor of March being Ethic’s Month.

Our next meeting will be on April 20, 2017. Location TBA.
