- The meeting was brought to order by Daniel Brown on July 17, 2014.
- There were 24 attendees and 2 guests present (Georgia Farm Bureau intern Andy Chambliss and speaker Richard Hart).
- New CPCU designee Leanna Sherman of Georgia Farm Bureau was in attendance and recognized. Stanley Fluellen of GEICO is also a recent CPCU designee will be contacted by the Chapter.
- A vote was taken regarding holding an August meeting. It was approved and the meeting will be held on Thursday, August 21st, at the Brickyard at Riverside.
- A vote was taken regarding establishing a social media presence for the Chapter, likely on Facebook. I-Day will be publicized on the page. Several Chapter members will have administrative authority over the page.
- Chapter Treasurer Max Montgomery has set up a new bank account with BB&T. The Chapter officers signed the necessary papers to finalize the account.
- There was an update regarding Chapter members speaking to students at Central Georgia Technical College. Professors will be contacted to set up visits in the upcoming semester.
- Dan Jones shared sponsorship information and a new logo for this years I-Day. He also mentioned potential speakers that will be contacted.
- Richard Hart, Director of Sales Training at Georgia Farm Bureau gave a presentation of changes and challenges agents and the industry will face in the future.
